The new SURF Tech Trends 2025–2026 report is now available. This bi-annual publication highlights the most important digital developments to help CIOs, educators, researchers, and policymakers make informed innovation choices. Topics include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Web3, Quantum Computing, and Immersive Technology (XR).
Researchers from the University of Twente contributed their expertise to the report, representing multiple faculties and perspectives:
- Funda Yildirim – Faculty of BMS, Immersive Technologies
- Amirreza Yousefzadeh – Faculty of EEMCS, Computing
- Steven van Roon – Faculty of ET, Humanoids
Together with national experts from universities, applied sciences, vocational colleges, and medical centers, they helped identify the main trends shaping the future of XR in education and research.
