On 4 May 2011, Yaseen Mustafa, PhD researcher of the Earth Observation Science department, faculty ITC, received the Best Student Paper Award at the ASPRS conference 2011 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA for his paper Improving forest growth estimates using a Bayesian network approach.
The paper was co-authored by faculty ITC staff members Alfred Stein, Valentyn Tolpekin and Patrick van Laake and will be published without any further modifications in Photogrammetry Engineering and Remote Sensing (PE&RS), the official journal of ASPRS.
