MY Experience at Itc
My experience at ITC was wonderful! Sometimes I wish I could turn back the clock. I’m really very happy that I got the chance to study at ITC, which was funded by Nuffic. I liked everything about ITC − the staff, the students, the teachers, everyone. I come from a small country called Bhutan, but I never felt away from home as everyone at ITC was very friendly and approachable. I got the opportunity to learn different languages and to learn about different cultures … and the hospitality of the Dutch people is beyond words.
During my stay, I got the opportunity to meet many international friends from all over the world, and I could also visit different countries in Europe − something I’d never even dreamt of. I really wish I could get the chance to study at ITC again. I really miss ITC a lot and I’m very fortunate that I was able to complete my nine-month diploma course in GIS at ITC at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. I now work as a supervisor in the project department of DrukGreen Power Corporation (www.drukgreen.bt), where I’ve been implementing all the things I learnt at ITC. I would like to strongly express my gratitude for having had this opportunity to study at ITC. It’s really the best place in the world to study subjects such as remote sensing and GIS. I would like to advise both present and future students to enjoy their stay and learn as much as they can.
