To develop national capacities in the use of Earth Observation for near real time water and agricultural (food security) monitoring and early warning a dedicated Cabo Verde toolbox was developed, facilitating data retrieval and processing from EUMETCast and other online EO based data streams.
The toolbox is used at the GIS and RS Laboratory of the Instituto Nacional de Investigação e Desenvolvimento Agrário, Cabo Verde (INIDA) and is utilizing the near real time data reception capability based on EUMETCast reception and other selected free online EO data streams.
After installation of the Cabo Verde Toolbox plug-in a new tab, called “CaboVerde Toolbox”, will appear in the ILWIS Operation-Tree.
