Satellite technology is transforming the monitoring of critical infrastructure worldwide. ITC alumnus Nikhil Sakpal has built an international career in infrastructure safety after completing the Master’s in Geo-Information Science & Earth Observation at ITC.
Today, Nikhil works as a Project Manager and GIS Consultant at ROSEN, using satellite data to detect risks in underground pipelines at an early stage. Looking back, he is happy with the path he chose:
“A solid technical foundation is important, but if you really want to stand out in the job market, it’s good to build specialised knowledge in a unique and evolving field. My Master’s allowed me to develop a skill set that’s both relevant and in demand.”
