DSI is happy to announce that two of our affiliated DSI-colleagues will give their inaugural lecture in the afternoon of Wednesday 7 September : professor Justine Blanford and professor Raul Zurita-Milla. To celebrate this special event, the morning of 7 September will be dedicated to a symposium to which all DSI-members are warmly invited. The theme of this conference will be around the importance of Geo-AI and also of the position of open science in general. What is the value of creativity in the process or doing research? How open, is open? And how much openness should we strive for, especially in the light of the enormous amounts of data coming our way? And how are our scientists recognized and rewarded for their contributions?
