At the ITC Faculty, you can choose among a different range of studies to develop your skills in the field of Natural Resources, tailored for students and professionals.
You will learn skills such as Big Data Analysis, AI & Machine Learning, Advanced Image Analysis, Environmental Modelling, Python & programming and much more, applied to Natural Resources.
Providence studied ITC's MSc in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation with a specialization in Natural Resource Management
She is a National Geographic Explorer and teacher at the ALU School of Wildlife Conservation

Thesis Topics to make an impact
When studying one of our MSc programmes you can choose an MSc Thesis research topic among our interrelated specialization fields: Forestry, Ecosystem Services, Food Security, Biodiversity, Natural Resource Management. You will make a positive impact with your research on the topics that you are passionate about, guided by our excellent academic staff.

NRStories, our legacy to Earth
Learn how the Natural Resources Department of the ITC develops research and projects across the globe. Our mission is the sustainable management of the biosphere by using Earth observation data and spatial information (such as satellite images and remote sensing).

Every academic year, a new batch of MSc students experiences the fieldwork outings and the several activities that are part of our educational programmes.
First-hand data collection
By visiting the field, students learn how to obtain data for training and validation.
In the field, students make different types of judgements and measurements of the environmental context; from the landscape, the soil type, the vegetation, land use and human factor...
For that reason, NRM teachers consider self-collecting data as one of the best ways to get a deeper understanding of the dataset.
