We are pleased to announce the following: the Council of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society has selected Dr. Phillipp Fanta-Jende’s paper: ‘Co-registration of panoramic mobile mapping images and oblique aerial images’, P. Fanta-Jende, F. Nex, G. Vosselman & M. Gerke (published in The Photogrammetric Record, 2019, 34(166):148-173) as this year’s winner of the EH Thompson Award. This award, supported by Wiley, is in the form of a certificate and a cheque for £100. The paper can be found on https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/phor.12276
