This training workshop, organized by the Center of Expertise in Big Geodata Science (CRIB), is designed to enhance your skills and understanding of the openEO ecosystem. openEO focuses on creating a standardized, open-source interface to simplify the access and processing of Earth observation (EO) data across various cloud backends. By developing a common API, openEO allows users to explore and analyze vast amounts of EO data without worrying about the underlying complexities of the cloud processing environments. The workshop is aimed at all researchers and students who wish to leverage openEO’s capabilities for creating and managing interoperable EO data processing workflows.
The workshop covers the following aspects:
- Overview of openEO
- Architecture of openEO API
- openEO web editor
- Hands-on openEO coding session (Python, R)
Participants must have access to a computer with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system that they have administrative privileges on.
