PVI invites you for a tour of the Twentse Bierbrouwerij in Hengelo, followed by a beer tasting, on Friday 21 March.

The Twentse Bierbrouwerij has been brewing since 2008. It is located in buildings of the former electronics company Hazemeyer, near the Twentekanaal in Hengelo. Their beers are sold to private individuals mainly in Twente, but also in the rest of the Netherlands (through wholesalers only).

We will first tour the brewery, explaining how small-scale artisanal brewing is done here. Afterwards there is a beer tasting, offering 3 different beers and some snacks. Afterwards we can enjoy the bar & restaurant until closing time, but further food & drinks are at your own expense...!

The brewery is located on the Haaksbergerstraat 51 (7554 PA) in Hengelo (OV). It can be reached by public transport (bus 53 from stop D1 at Hengelo station, every half hour at xx:16 and xx:46, ca. 6 minutes until stop Vockersweg), but we will also organise a joint cycle trip from ITC (ca. 30 minutes).

Gain unique insights from Johan Binnenmars and Martin Hendriks of Flora-Nova, alongside André de Brouwer from UT Campus & Facility Management. These professionals will share fascinating details about the gardens’ creation, upkeep, and their role in enhancing both the environment and well-being.

Morning session for current and former employees of ITC enoying coffee/tea/hot chocolate, krentenwegge and each others company. Welcome 10.30. Presentation 11.00.

Special guest: Wan Bakx (World and European Champion 100 meter hurdles) sharing information, experiences, stories and videos of his hobby running hurdles around the globe. Title of his presentation "Meet the Champion".

Invitation for Sinterklaas celebration for children on 23rd November (in collaboration with UTKring)

Also this year Sinterklaas will be visiting our Campus with his entourage to celebrate his party with all the UT children up to 10 years old (including their parents).

Therefore, we will give him a warm welcome on Saturday, November 23 at 13.30 PM (walk-in as of 13.15pm) in the Agora of the Vrijhof.
Naturally, the Sinterklaas will bring gifts and refreshments, such as coffee, tea, lemonade and sweets. A real Pieten music group provides a beautiful performance and music.

The cost of participation 7,50 euro per child, including a gift that your child will receive. The cost for each accompanying parent/grandparent is 2,50 euros (p.p.).

(Note that in the past we were able to organise this free of charge, but with the increased costs of everything in the past year, we have to ask for a small fee to cover some of the costs)

Note that the main language of the event will be Dutch, because that is the language of the volunteers of the music association that organizes this, but we will do everything we can to ensure that everyone feels welcome.

You can register your child(ren) before 15th November for the Sinterklaas activity by sending an e-mail to f.a.vandijk@utwente.nl, stating the “ Sinterklaas celebration”  , Namd of Faculty and the number of people we can welcome. Also include the name, gender and age of the child(ren).

UT-Kring organises a Golf clinic on May 10 or May 12 and PVI members can participate under the same conditions. Read more here and register with UT-Kring citing that you are PVI member. PVI members are allowed to register 1 introducee per person.
