Lima - climate change and water governance

In the EU project on spatial knowledge management we found that there was some use of spatial information in the city of Lima, but most of the information was only available as maps in pdf documents made by consultants, and that the city did not have the raw data themselves. We also found that some maps contained contradicting results, e.g. in terms of coastal risks zones. So the city of Lima was extremely interested in the maps that we prepared for the city of Lima as part of participatory scenario building processes. I hesitated to share the maps because of possible inaccuracies, but my persistent colleague saw the maps as an important means to push for change in the future climate change strategy. By now, the climate change strategy has been accepted.
