Open Science is on the rise and will change the research landscape in the next years. Many initiatives and projects have the goal to make the entire research process as transparent and re-usable as possible to increase the benefit of research for society. The University of Twente took note of these developments. Consequently, Open Science plays a key role in Shaping2030, UT's mission, vision, and strategy for 2020-2030.

Open Science @ ITC (OS@ITC) is a horizontal facility that supports all ITC departments to make the next step in the transition towards Open Science, considering the individual needs and backgrounds of the researchers. We will consequently also work together with the research support departments, such as LISA and CRIB.

Our mission is to educate about Open Science practices to support their wider adoption within ITC. We will raise awareness for the Open Science practices and also address the obstacles that stand in the way of applying Open Science practices in research and education.

Our vision is to position ITC and, eventually, the University of Twente as a globally renowned place for transparent scientific practice.
