Aulia Akbar is a PhD candidate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geo-information Management at the ITC faculty of the University of Twente. After completing his bachelor’s degree in Geodetic Engineering, he obtained his master’s degree in Development Practice (Advanced) from the University of Queensland (Australia). His interests pertain to the impact of geospatial data information in improving the participatory planning practices in rural areas.
