On Tuesday 12 September 2017, one day prior to the start of the GEO Human Planet Forum, JRC will conduct a one day workshop at the ITC Faculty on how to extract built-up areas from remote sensing images with their Massive Automatic Spatial Data Analytics tool. The course provides basic knowledge about the MASADA tool and the Global Human Settlement Layer product which is generated with it. In addition to theoretical background and examples of the use of the GHSL data, participants will receive hands-on training in the use of MASADA.
