What's the Master's Geo-information Science and Earth Observation about?

Your research activities could include doing field work elsewhere in the world − e.g. in order to collect data to support your thesis or final assignment.

Fieldwork is is carried out in areas that reflect problems clearly related to your specialization. During fieldwork, your are responsible for a field data acquisition assignment, usually part of the Postgraduate final assignment, or the Master's research. Besides the direct input into assignments, fieldwork offers you first-hand insight into current practices, as well as the opportunity to assess through ground verification and validation the impact and value (and limitations) of GIS and remote sensing technology.
