ITC offers a broad range of short courses for which upon successful completion participants will receive a certificate and course record.
Accredited and non-accredited courses
These short courses can be divided into accredited and non-accredited courses. Accredited courses and their respective credits can be transferred towards a degree granting programme such as the MSc or master at ITC. Accredited short courses have ECTS credits assigned to them, whereas non-accredited short courses do not carry ECTS credits.
The entry requirements and other relevant information for the short courses can be found below.
Academic level and background
Accredited certificate courses
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in a discipline related to the course, preferably combined with working experience in a relevant field.
Non Accredited certificate courses
Applicants for the following certificate courses:
- GIS and Geovisualisation

Skills in taught or related subjects are a prerequisite for some courses in the Certificate programme or separate modules. Even if the applicant satisfies the overall admission requirements, acceptance is not automatic.
