The ITC Research Fund (IRF) provides base funding to each of the research group leaders and provides discretionary co-funding for research projects. Its co-funding for research projects can take the form of partial support of graduate students and/or the form(s) of support laid out in research partnership agreements.

The IRF is operated by the Head of Research, who determines research project co-funding awards according to the fellowship provision advised by applicants for graduate student registration and requests from research group leaders responding to calls for proposals with offers of partial funding. The ITC Research Fund also supports the Graduate Partnership Scheme but does not fully fund research projects.

It is not possible for persons other than those mentioned above to apply for IRF co-funding.
