Project summary

The objectives of the project are:
1. to carry out a comprehensive, city-wide assessment of the risks of flooding that is based upon the principles of integrated flood management,
2. to undertake a more detailed flood risk assessment in a representative "hotspot" neighborhood in that city believed to suffer from high levels of hazard, exposure and vulnerability.
3. to offer a strategy in the form of a proposed policy, along with detailed, cost effective recommendations (including proposed bylaws) in the form of an action plan, that would pave the way for improved and integrated management.
