PhD drinks
PhD drinks are held in the ITC Restaurant every last Friday of the month at 17:00.
PhD barbecue
In 2011, IPC organized a BBQ on Saturday, July 30th, in Het Rutbeek (the lake).
The event started at 12:00. Families and relatives were welcomed.

PhD weekend
The PhD weekend aims to give you a head start in your journey as a PhD student.
It comprises various lectures on publishing, coping with stress, talks and tips by experienced colleagues as well as presentations by people in charge of making your life easier/more difficult at ITC are on offer. All of this is coupled with fun events, games, socializing and making new friends. The full program of the 2010 PhD Weekend can be find here. The event in 2010 was spread over two days, from the morning on June 26th and until the evening of 27th of 2010, away from Enschede and required no additional cost from the students.

PhD end of year dinner
IPC organizes a PhD end of the year dinner at the end of the year, for PhD students and their families. The dinner does not require any additional cost from the students, who have to register for the event.

LaTeX crash course 2010
IPC organized a crash course in LaTeX, given during 4 days by Rolf de By. LaTeX is a powerful tool to write scientific papers, thesis, books among others. Some of the topics of the course were:
- How to run text?
- How to use punctuation?
- How to use a publisher’s template?
- How to do bibliographic citation?
- How to construct tables?
- How to do mathematics?
- How to write your own commands?
- How to manage larger documents, such as thesis, compared to single papers?
PhD bowling sponsored by IAMG
IPC organized a bowling event for PhD students and their families. The event was fully sponsored by the IAMG ITC Student Chapter with the purpose of promoting the chapter.

IAMG pizza afternoon
IAMG in collaboration with IPC organized on December 16th, 2010, a Pizza afternoon, where Xiaogang, president of the chapter, gave a 15 minutes introduction about the IAMG ITC Student Chapter. For more information, see also www.iamg.org.
