Meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Cartographic Association in Dresden, Germany. As vice-president I participated to deal with the Associations daily affairs and strategies, as well as a site visit to the ICC2013.

Acting as member of the Phd-examination committe of Ara Toomanian, one of my department's former MSc students. Included was a visit to the GIS Centre of the Universiy of Lund. It is situated in the same building where at one time the famous geographer Torsten Hägerstrand had his office.

Presented paper on 'The design of maps depicting change- validating and expanding Bertin's approach for geographic data's temporal component' and with Irma Kveladze on 'The set up of an evaluation method to judge the effectiveness of the space time cube'

Also visited the United Nations Cartographic Section.
