Welcome to the LISEM website

LISEM versions    News
Basic the original LISEM simulating runoff and erosion, for different surface types inside a gridcell, grass strips and channels.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS VERSION LISEM HAS STOPPED!

LISEM is now completely open source.

You can find the programme and source code of openLISEM at: http://lisem.sf.net

Wheeltracks semi-permanent Wheeltracks are simulated as a network of channels.

Multiclass erosion and deposition are simulated in six texture classes
 What is LISEM ?

Nutrients

nutrient losses (N and P) in solution and in suspension are simulated.

The LImburg Soil Erosion Model (LISEM) is a physically-based runoff and erosion model for research, planning and conservation purposes. It simulates the spatial effects of rainfall events on small watersheds.

It uses the free GIS
PCRaster Environmental Software

Gullies (EUROWISE)

Gully incision and formation are simulated.
