Background

Valentyn A. Tolpekin (1975) received his MSc degree in theoretical physics from Odessa State University, Odessa, Ukraine. He obtained a PhD in 2004 at the University of Twente in physics. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Earth Observation Science, ITC. His research interests focus on mathematical and statistical tools for satellite image analysis, including Markov Random Fields, super-resolution mapping, Support Vector Machines.
