World Cup 2010

On 11 June the World Cup 2010 Soccer started with a game between the host country South Africa and Mexico. Many people around the world have been eagerly waiting for the start of this tournament. Free time was saved, holiday plans were changed according to the World Cup schedule, partners who hate soccer were banned from their homes, large screens were placed in towns and gadgets in the national colours were bought.

As the ITC community exist of alumni and students from different countries in which soccer is national sport number one, a short impression of several games written by alumni and/or students who describe their soccer experience in a few words.     Mexico in World Cup is celebration, going out, walking, party and “cascaritas” which are small football matches played on the street or garden, before and after a game. Mexico is a Football-Fan country. So everyone is ready to make a Wave!!!
