Botswana, Kalahari site

ITC earth observation site for research and education

The Kalahari site is operational in collaboration with Botswana Geological Survey.

Serowe Kalahari monitoring area

Paje station in the Kalahari
Paje station in the Kalahari: Complete flux tower equipped in sensors monitoring radiation and microclimatic conditions, sap flow at various species, unsaturated zone moisture and matric potential and water table fluctuation. The site was installed with the Kalahari Research Project (KRP) collaboration between ITC and Botswana Geological Survey. ITC intends to add more Earth Observation components to this and other towers of the KRP
