ITC Alumni Association Nepal (IAAN) was officially established on June 27th, 2000 and registered with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu with the Registration No 1011-2056/57. IAAN was established with a primary objectives of
- Fostering integrated applications of knowledge, skills and trainings acquired in different fields from International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) for the sustainable development of the nation.
- Promotion of Geo-information and Earth Observation science for the development of the nation.
- Development of professionalism amongst the member through knowledge sharing, interactions, networking and communication with the ITC.

IAAN Membership
IAAN membership is given to any individual of Nepalese nationality who has attended and completed any academic or short training course with a minimum duration of 3 weeks (1 module) at International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, Enschede, The Netherlands. Following types of membership is given:
1. General Membership
2. Life Membership
3. Honorary Membership
General and life memebrships are granted by the Executive Committee upon the completion of membership form, submission of relevant ITC certificate and payment of the membership fee. Honorary membership is awarded by the recommendation from the Executive Committee.
General Membership
Any Nepalese individual who has attended and completed any course with minimum duration of 3 weeks can get general membership for the application fee of NRs. 100 (Nepalese Rupees One Hundred) equivalent to €1. The general membership is subjected to annual renewal and is subjected to annulment upon non-renewal.
Life Membership
Any Nepalese individual who has attended and completed any course with minimum duration of 3 weeks can get general membership for the application fee of NRs. 1000 (Nepalese Rupees One Thousand) equivalent to €10. The life membership is not subjected to annual renewal.
Honorary Membership
Honorary membership is awarded to a distinguished individual of any nationality who have achieved an exceptional recognition in academic, scientific and service sectors in the field of Geo-Information and Earth Observation sciences and their applications; to a distinguished individual of any nationality who has made significant contributions towards the promotion of Geo-Information and Earth Observation science and technology in the community; to a distinguished individual who has made significant contributions towards promotion of ITC's mission and to a distinguished individual who has made significant contributions towards promotion of IAAN's mission.
