Open Standards and Open Source WebMapping
E-learning course as part of EduServ 10
From 7 to 18 May 2012 ITC will organize an e-learning course Open Standards & Open Source Web Mapping as part of EuroSDR's EduServ 10 courses. Registration is now open.
Barend Köbben and Ivana Ivanova from ITC's department of Geo-information Processing will be teaching the principles of Open Standards WebMapping using Open Source tools. Participants will learn the principles and theoretical background on interoperability, geo-webservices and Open Geo-Standards, and will apply them by setting up WMS and WFS services using MapServer, and by building a web-based client using OpenLayers.
