Introducing the University of Twente Library
All ITC staff and students are able to use the UT library for free. You may receive a free library card from the Central Library of the University, but you need to bring your ITC smart card in order to receive this University library card. Without the ITC smart card the UT is not able to identify you as staff member or student from ITC.
Books will be borrowed on an individual basis; this means that the ITC library is not involved in this. Correspondence for students will be sent to their ITC mail box and for staff will be sent to their home address. When students are leaving ITC they have to return the UT library card to the ITC library. The same applies for staff members leaving ITC.
When you administered at the UT Library, you will receive the rules and regulations, which you have to comply with. To use all the facilities within the University Library, e.g. Picarta, Web of Science, the online journals and other databases, you need a code to login. You can ask for this code at their library information desk.
It is not possible to use their facilities from your home or any other place at the UT Campus. Inter Library Loan Services have to be used from your own ITC Library; not from the UT library.
