Post-application process
What happens after applying for registration in the Graduate Programme depends upon your registration request in your application.
Research assistant (AiO)
- Acceptance of your research topic by research group leader
- Confirmation of your eligibility for promotion (award of PhD degree) by ITC
- Confirmation of your employment contract by the P&O Department of ITC
- Registration in ITC's Student Information System
- ITC Graduate Programme Secretary advises you of your student registration number
PhD student
- Acceptance of your research topic by research group leader
- Confirmation of your eligibility for promotion (award of PhD degree) by ITC
- Dispatch your letter of conditional admission (to support your funding applications)
Subject to your confirmation (official letter) of funding ... - Registration in ITC's Student Information System
- Application (by ITC) for your entry visa
- Dispatch your letter of invitation (to collect entry visa from Royal Netherlands Embassy)
- Arrange travel date, accommodation and reception
