The Opening of the Academic Programme is an annually returning highlight on the agenda of the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente. This year the official ceremony takes place on Thursday 22 September 2011 in the Grote Kerk at the Oude Markt in Enschede.
Hundreds of international students, the majority from developing countries, follow courses in the field of geo-information science and earth observation at ITC.
This afternoon we will see a colourful gathering of international students in traditional dress, invited guests, and ITC professors and employees who gather in the Grote Kerk.
