Workshop LADM from Research to Implementation

Land Administration Domain Modelling at a Threshold

During the last ten years a lot of effort has been put into the modelling of the land administration domain. This work started as a research initiative, was picked up the FIG as professional body, and progressed to standardization work within ISO. Important steps were set in the research field with the (near) completion of a number of PhD’s, two of which are scheduled to be defended in Delft on 5 July. Also the standardization work is nearing its end with the expected final approval later on this year. Implementations have already begun within a number of countries using the LADM drafts as base for their new data models, as well as the pro-poor land information system STDM.

After dedicated workshops in 2003 (Enschede) and 2004 (Bamberg), and a lot of side-events and ISO related meetings since, we will come together in Rotterdam to take stock of where we are and what lies ahead with a number of key contributors to the process this far.

You are cordially invited to join.
