Africa Geospatial Forum - Kenya

Enabling Socio-Economic Development through Geospatial

From the year 2006, Map Africa conference has evolved tremendously with time, encompassing and deliberating on various application areas and emerging geospatial technologies serving the same. Map Africa 2010 is a remarkable milestone that we achieved through the journey of Map Africa series of conferences.

In order to maintain our pace with the changing world and be a part of the transforming mapping industry, we are glad to rebrand the conference as Africa Geospatial Forum and take it to new destination i.e ‘Kenya’. Kenya, being classified as a developing and an emerging African nation with rich diversity is an appropriate venue to host the Forum.

Africa Geospatial Forum shall have impressive technical programme with a renowned array of speakers from across the continent who will share their unique perspective and insights into the African Geospatial industry with little focus on the issue of vision 2030. The conference shall offer an unparalleled balance of substantive information with ample time for networking and socialising. The forum will be built upon the past experiences with the same objective of propagating and promoting the significant usage of Geospatial Technologies as a tool serving varied domains. Through the voices of key major users, decision makers, technology innovators, and industry leaders the conference will examine the programmes, systems, and initiatives that are transforming the continent with key focus on sectors like infrastructure & utilities, Earth Observation System, emerging trends, social development etc.
