Mapping Global Change

Spatial statistics is a rapidly developing field which involves the quantitative analysis of spatial data including their uncertainties. Applications of spatial statistics are for a broad range of disciplines such as agriculture, geology, soils, hydrology, the environment, ecology, mining, oceanography, forestry, air quality, remote sensing, but also in social/economic fields such as spatial econometrics, epidemiology and disease mapping.
The Spatial Statistics 2011 conference focuses on the role that spatial and spatio-temporal statistics plays in mapping global change. The main conference themes are:
