Latin America Geospatial Forum - Brazil

Bringing Global Perspectives to Local Action

GIS Development with an intent to expand its activities and programs in Latin American continent is expanding its network of conferences in Latin America and is developing a regional conference for geospatial industry. Though there is no dearth of conferences in this region too, but we at GIS Development believe the Latin America Geospatial Forum will contribute an intern ational platform for information exchange and meaningful dialogue between and amongst various stakeholder of Latin America Geospatial Industry.

The Latin America Geospatial Forum is the 1st Annual Latin American Conference and Exhibition on Geospatial Information, Technology and Applications. The conference would highlight the need for firmly placing ‘geospatial knowledge’ at the heart of economic and development agenda of the nation. Latin America Geospatial Forum is an initiative that would provide a well-needed regional forum in Latin America for geospatial cooperation within Latin America and beyond the region. The conference, which will include plenary and keynote sessions, symposia, seminars, workshops, technical sessions, technology shows and a state-of-the-art exhibition, would bring all stakeholders in the geospatial domain: government, academia, researchers, students, and the industry - onto one platform to come forward and share their learning and experiences with each other and rest of the world; and enter into meaningful dialogue towards development and strengthening of geospatial industry in Latin America.
