Defining Geospatial Vision for India

Map India 2010, the 13th Annual International Conference and Exhibition on Geospatial Information Technology and Applications will be based on a visionary theme - 'Defining Geospatial Vision For India'. Through this conference, we are trying to assimilate the developments within the domain and steer the future direction that geospatial technologies can provide to the various vertical in the country. We do believe it is time now for a stated vision for geospatial domain to emerge, which will enable not only the policy makers, but the technology developers, industry and user segments to have as a guiding path for incorporating geospatial as a key tool within their respective work. Vision of Map India is to mandate itself to work towards making a significant and effective contribution towards meeting the developmental challenges of the nation.

The structure of the conference has been so designed to offer greater variety to the participants. The symposium will be organised in collaboration with partners from the Industry, Academia and Government in order to enable increased proliferation and percolation of GIT across the entire length and breadth of the geospatial spectrum.
